Robert "Nuck" Eugene Nolen

Robert Eugene “Nuck” Nolen, 72, of  Newtown IN, passed away 5:15 AM Sunday June 4, 2023 at Hickory Creek Health Care in Crawfordsville, IN.

Nuck was born June 16, 1950 in Lafayette, IN the son of Robert E. and Barbara E. (Jones) Nolen; they have preceded him in death.

He is survived by a son,  Jason (Ashley) Nolen, Newtown; a brother Frank L. Nolen, Monticello; three grandchildren, Kaiden Nolen, Roman Nolen, Autumn Nolen; and many friends throughout the community.

Nuck graduated from Attica High School. He had been employed as a life-long truck driver throughout the area, most recently driving for Songer Farms, and Bill Perry Trucking, both in Veedersburg.

He enjoyed having morning coffee with the guys at Carver’s Marathon in Veedersburg; one of many places where he staunchly defended Tom Brady as the greatest quarterback of all time, and IU Basketball as the greatest college basketball program.

More than anything he will be remembered for the undying love he had for his grandchildren.

Memorial service will be 2:00 PM Thursday June 8, 2023 at Dickerson Funeral Home, with Pastor Dave Sims officiating. Visitation will begin at 12:30 Thursday June 8 and continue until the time of service. Memorial Contributions may be given to help the family with funeral expense.
