Robert Dale Pickett

It is with great sadness that the family of Robert Dale Pickett, known to many as “Bob”, announces his passing on Saturday, October 27, 2018 at the age of 78 years. His loved ones were at his side. Bob was born in Veedersburg on September 17, 1940 to John and Carolyn (Florey) Pickett. He graduated from Veedersburg High School and joined the United States Army, serving in the 101st Airborne. He married Elaine Judith Carr on October 23, 1965. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Elaine; his sons Rob Pickett, and Michael (Amber) Pickett. He will also be fondly remembered by his grandson, Austin; and his sister, Ann (Gene) Cushman. Bob will also be remembered by his many loving nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, and their families. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, seven sisters, and one brother. A visitation will be held on Monday November 5, 2018 between 11:00 AM and 1:30 PM at Saint Joseph’s Catholic Church in Covington, Indiana. Funeral service will begin at 1:30 PM with Father Samuel Furtal presiding. Military Honors will be provided by American Legion Post #288 and the US Army.  Flowers are welcome.
