Shane Michael Smith

Shane Michael Smith, 47, originally from Lowell, Indiana, passed away October 9, 2022 from health complications.

Shane was born June 23,1975 in Crown Point, Indiana. He was the son of James David Smith and Susan (Hafner) Campbell. He married Kelli Beck December 29, 2002.

Surviving family include Kelli Smith (wife), Noah Smith (son), James Smith (son), Collin Smith (son), and Rogan Smith (son).  Also survived is his mother Susan Campbell, his brother Joshua Smith (Lori), and brother Eric Smith (Allyson).

He is preceded in death by his father, James David Smith.

Shane graduated in 1993 from Lowell High School in Lowell IN. 

After graduation he served his country in the US Army in the Special Operations division as an Army Ranger from 1995 – 2000.

He was currently employed at First Key Homes in Indianapolis.

Graveside service with military honors will be Thursday, June 15th,2023 at the VA National Cemetery in Danville, Illinois. Service will begin at 2:00pm CST / 3pm EST.
