Sharon Kay Allen, 75, of Veedersburg, IN passed away at her residence 6:54PM Saturday April 11, 2020 with her family at her side.

Sharon was born May 10, 1944 in Crawfordsville, IN the daughter of Kenneth Eugene and Alberta Ruth (Sigler) Krout. She married Buck Allen August 15, 1965 in Veedersburg.

She is preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Kenneth R. Krout.

Surviving family include her husband, Buck Allen, Veedersburg; a son Dan (Kim) Allen, Veedersburg; a daughter, Missy Hesler, Veedersburg; a sister, Patty Lewis, Veedersburg; two brothers, Don (Debbie) Richey, Veedersburg; Bob (Jeanie) Richey, Hillsboro; three grandchildren, Trey Hughes, Karson Allen, and Kennan Hesler.

Sharon graduated from Veedersburg High School in 1962, she had been employed as a cook at the Southeast Fountain Elementary School and retired from there after 28 years of employment. She was member of the Sterling Christian Church.

Sharon’s great enjoyment in life came from spending time with her family, such as spending time with her husband Buck at the pond or at a nearby fishing lake, listening to her grandson Trey’s music performances; or simply being with her grandchildren of all whom she loved and adored.

She also enjoyed having lunch around town with her girlfriends, she especially enjoyed her four special girlfriends and classmates.

A private family funeral service will be held at Dickerson Funeral Home in Veedersburg Tuesday April 14, 2020 with Pastor Gary Johnson officiating. Burial will follow service at Rockfield Cemetery.
