Sherri Lynn Burleson

Sherri Lynn Burleson, 64, of Crawfordsville, IN, passed away Sunday March 3, 2024 at Franciscan Lafayette East.

Sherri was born August 18, 1959 in Williamsport, IN, the daughter of George William and Martha Rose (Salts) Burleson; they have preceded her in death. She is also preceded in death by a son William Todd Burleson; and a sister, Lisa Shoaf.

Surviving family include two daughters, Crystal Dawn Morris, Crawfordsville; Megan Ann Burleson, Wingate; a son Thomas Wendall (Fiancé Carrie Mills) Burleson, Danville IL; a brother, Stephen Burleson, Crawfordsville; a sister, Lorri Burleson, Crawfordsville; eleven grandchildren, Lamour Bridgewater, Daulton Bridgewater, Jason Hamm, Isabella Morris, Victoria Morris, Elizabeth Morris, Tyler Dutton, Gavin Dutton, Jasper Doughty, Ava Burleson, Amelia Burleson; five great grandchildren; nephew Jason Burleson; and several other nieces and nephews.  

Sherri graduated from Covington High School in 1977. She had been employed at Golden Books for 11 years; she had also been employed at various factories and a nursing home throughout her life. She enjoyed reading, working puzzles, picnics, and family gatherings. More than anything she loved and enjoyed her grandchildren.

Per Sherri’s request there will not be any public services and she will be laid to rest next to her son at Snoddy’s Coal Creek Cemetery near Stringtown, IN. Online condolences at www.dickersonfuneralhome.com.
