Tommy G Butler

Tommy G. Butler, 75, of Veedersburg, IN, passed away at his residence 7:25AM Sunday January 5, 2025.

Tommy was born June 2, 1949 in Paris, IL the son of the late Everett F. and Marjorie I. (Harvey) Butler. He married Vickie Lynn Britton November 28, 1985; she preceded him in death March 5, 2015. 

He is also preceded in death by three brothers, James Butler, Jackie Lynn Butler, and Jerry Lee Butler. 

Surviving family include two daughters, Melissa (Bryan) Lanham, Attica; Randi Butler, TN; a son, Tommy Butler CA; a step-daughter, Angie (Kerry) Randles, Veedersburg; step-son Michael Rothrock, Williamsport; a brother, Stan (Dottie) Butler; sisters Sharon Subler, Barbara (Glenn) Davis, Donna (Dewayne) Lankster, Patty (John) Myles, Kathy (Jay) Rinehart, Tammy Taylor; several grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.

Tommy enlisted in the United Sates Marine Corps after high school. He was employed in Veedersburg as Town Marshall, and as a Fountain County EMT. For many years he was also a substitute teacher at Fountain Central School Corporation, which he thoroughly enjoyed. He also enjoyed fishing at Waveland Lake and was an avid bowler in Attica.
