Wanda Fay McMasters Ratcliff, 91, formerly of Veedersburg, passed away 6:55 AM Saturday January 6, 2018 at Willow Lake Place in Indianapolis, Indiana. Wanda was born July 31, 1926 in Tangier, Indiana the daughter of Merle and Geneva (Lewis) Day. She married Earl McMasters August 29, 1944; they were blessed with three children, and he preceded her in death April 5, 1969. Wanda then married Lowell Ratcliff March 10, 1971 and he preceded her in death May 18, 2008. She is also preceded in death by five brothers, and three sisters. Surviving family include a daughter, Linda (Bob) McKinney, Veedersburg; two sons, Denny (Janilee) McMasters, Veedersburg; Terry (Pauline) McMasters, Rockville; two sisters, Mary Abby (Paul) Fischer, Alamo; Nora Ann Day, Crawfordsville; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. Wanda graduated from Tangier High School in 1944. For most of her life, Wanda was a homemaker raising and caring for her family. She was the type of person who liked to stay busy and had also worked at several odd jobs around the community; for a few years she had also been employed at Donnelley’s and Mid-State Wire in Crawfordsville. Per Wanda’s request private family services are being held at Dickerson Funeral Home in Veedersburg with Pastor Evan Sharbaugh officiating.
