Wendell Scott VanNote, 60, of Veedersburg, passed away Wednesday November 13, 2024 at his residence with his family at his side.

Scott was born March 25, 1964 in Crawfordsville, IN the son of Larry VanNote and Carmelita “Cami” (Hinote) Anders. He married Sherri Elliott October 16, 1981 in Veedersburg, IN.

Surviving family include his wife Sherri VanNote, Veedersburg; a son Eric VanNote, Danville, IL; a brother, Jeffrey Wayne VanNote, Foster, IN; two sisters, Patty VanNote, Westville, IL; Angie Hinote, Ogden, IL; four grandchildren Ellis VanNote, Trayton Keller, Erica VanNote, and Lyric VanNote.

He is preceded in death by a son, Wade VanNote.

Scott grew up in Foster IN and attended school in Covington; graduating from Covington High School in 1981. He served his country in the United States Marine Corps following his high school graduation. He had been employed for many years as a Technical Support Engineer for Pitney Bowes and BlueCrest.

Scott was one to stay busy and he had the knowledge to work on and repair most everything. He enjoyed doing his own mechanic work and home remodel projects. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, fishing, shooting & collecting guns; he was a long-time member of the NRA. He always planted a large well-maintained garden, and enjoyed cooking and grilling.

Memorial service will be 4:00PM (EDT) Saturday November 23, 2024 at Dickerson Funeral Home in Veedersburg with Pastor Bob Fairchild officiating. Visitation will begin at 2:00PM (EDT) Saturday November 23 at the funeral home and continue until the time of service at 4:00PM (EDT). Online condolences at www.dickersonfuneralhome.com
